LEARN TO SKATE

The Glacier Ice Arena is proud to announce a partnership with the City of Grand Junction’s Parks & Recreation Department! Now, all registration for our Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey programs will be handled by the Parks & Recreation Department.

If you do not already receive a Parks & Rec Activity Guide in the mail, call 970.254.3842 or visit www.gjcity.org to look at the Guide online.

The Glacier will still gladly accept registrations at the rink if you are unable to register online or over the phone with the Parks & Rec Department. For more information, call the rink at 970.242.RINK.

A message from our Figure Skating Director:

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to The Glacier Ice Arena’s Learn to Skate program! Here you will find all the necessary information for your child to begin progressing up the skating ladder.

I am excited to be able to be a part of this learning process. My goal with this program is to be sure you and your child enjoy this experience as much as possible. Skating, in so many ways, is such a benefit to your child. As a teacher, it is a blessing to be able to help teach children something I have enjoyed since I was a child.

I want you to feel comfortable when your child is here with us, whether for lessons or just to practice. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or comments you may have.

Thank you for your interest and for supporting your child as they undertake an amazing sport. I look forward to working with them for years to come.

Sincerely,
Ciji Green
Figure Skating Director
